The title of this research is “Enhancing inclusion in physical education for students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) in Irish post-primary schools”. The researchers are Paidí Kelly, Dr. Frances Murphy and Prof. Joe Travers. The research will be undertaken by Paidí Kelly as part of his PhD studies. Post-primary PE teachers in Ireland are invited to complete a short online survey that aims to gather insights into teachers’ experiences, current practices, and the supports available when teaching students with an intellectual disability.

Participation from PE teachers nationwide will help build a rich and accurate picture of inclusive PE practice. The findings will contribute to developing improved supports for teachers and enhancing PE experiences for students with intellectual disabilities.

All responses are completely anonymous, and no schools or individuals will be identifiable in any reports or publications. This study has received full ethical approval from the relevant university ethics committee.
