‘Reconnecting with members at a time of change’
Dear PEAI Member,
I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer break and are looking forward to what will no doubt be a very busy first term of the new academic year. As you plan and prepare with PE colleagues for the new term, the PEAI Executive are delighted to announce our Regional Roadshows, ‘Reconnecting with PEAI Members at a time of change’. These workshops will be taking place in person in early September at seven Education Centres across the country.
The 90-minute workshops will provide the latest updates to Post Primary PE teachers on the three Physical Education curricula at Post Primary level;

New 135 JCPE Specification (compulsory for all incoming 1st years from Sept ‘23)

Senior Cycle PE (compulsory for all TY-6th year students since September 2020)

Leaving Cert PE (optional subject open to all schools since September 2020)
Two A3 posters on the curriculum options and an overview of the new JCPE Specification will also be provided to those in attendance for free! Digital copies will be available in the ‘Members Area’ of our website for those Members unable to attend. Places are free for PEAI members but are limited to 30 per workshop and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

PEAI 2023 AGM and Conference
Online booking for our 2023 AGM and Conference will open in mid September along with our brochure which will list all of the workshops, keynote speakers and other details.

PEAI 2023 Conference Venue: South East Technological University (SETU) Carlow.
Date & Time: 7th October, 2023 from 9am to 3:30pm
