Urban schools initiative.

This group was formed to support Schools with poor facilities and/or challenging students.

They have had two meetings to date. The first was to gather and find focus for this initiative. There was a discussion about the issues facing each teacher and the school context. There was much common ground. A strategy, and a future calendar was agreed.

The second gathering was a workshop based on skipping and team challenges. Some of the teachers in the USI group presented the workshops. These were run in the context of participants having poor PE facilities and/or challenging students and all agreed they were very useful.

The next gathering is hopefully going to take place in December where again, the presenters will be members of the group.  This realistic and practical focus is proving to be very important for the group.
