Pat is former President of the PEAI, former Head of the National Coaching and Training Centre in Limerick and is now Head of UK Sport www.uksport.gov.uk .

With the Olympics in London in 2012, it will be interesting to hear what is happening in England in preparation for this event and how we can benefit from the huge exposure to sport

Glenn Carpenter returns to Australia.

Glenn Carpenter, who teaches in Manor House in Raheny, is returning to his Homeland, Australia at Christmas.  Glenn has been here for five years and has made a great contribution to PE in Ireland.  He was involved in the NCCA backed Assessment for Learning project in PE.  Glenn organized an excellent workshop last March when Jim Cain from the USA presented his Team Building workshop. www.teamworkandteamplay.com

The whole idea of a community of practice is that we can all help each other.  Many people have strengths and expertise in different areas.  Feel free to organize local workshops.  Make links with local PE teachers so that we can all support each other.
