AIESEP Conference 2011 - Physical Education Practical workshop opportunities

A reduced one-day registration fee is available for those wishing to attend only the Saturday as the organisers have made a conscious effort to accommodate the interests of an Irish audience interested in physical education, sport, physical activity, health and exercise.

The University of Limerick is hosting the International Association of Physical Education in Higher Education (AIESEP) 2011 conference at the UL campus from Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th June 2011. The conference is a hugely popular international forum on physical education and sport pedagogy. The organizers have made a conscious effort to accommodate the interests of an Irish audience interested in physical education, sport, physical activity, health and exercise, and there are clear opportunities being planned in the programme for physical education teachers to be involved in workshops presented by national and international presenters on Saturday 25th June that share current thinking on ideas of how best to deliver physical education effectively, focusing predominantly on the notion of physical education curriculum and instructional models. A reduced one-day registration fee is available for those wishing to attend only the Saturday and we urge you to keep this date free to allow you to visit UL and take part in such opportunities. The one day registration allows delegates to attend all aspects of the conference including workshops, Keynotes and oral presentations.  As the programme of workshops is finalized they will appear firstly on the conference website (aiesep2011.com) and the PEAI web site (www.peai.org). The next newsletter will include the full conference programme and any teacher engaged in postgraduate study in any of the related conference themes would be welcomed and would benefit from attending the full conference. If you have any enquiries related to the programme in general or the workshops please do not hesitate to contact Ann.MacPhail@ul.ie or Mary.OSullivan@ul.ie.
