Communicating in Physical Activity Settings

The workshop “Communicating in Physical Activity Settings” is the second in a series of adventure education workshops focusing on adventure themes of building trust, communication, team challenge and problem solving, low level initiatives, and finally how to build your own safe equipment. The focus was on activities to help young people learn to more effectively communicate through listening, speaking, sharing, and interacting in verbal and non-verbal ways. Activities focused on various debrief and process strategies leading to increased student responsibility and learning awareness. Concerns, barriers, and / or issues that teachers face while delivering this content in there schools was also discussed.
