The PEAI Conference and Annual General Meeting was held on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October 2007 and hosted by University College Cork. On the Saturday morning, Minister Michéal Martin launched a new DVD for physical education teachers at the Physical Education Association of Ireland conference.

       

The DVD, entitled ‘Move to Learn, Love to Move’ aims to imform and enlighted the whole-school community on the particular contribution of physical education within the second level education system. The resource consists of presentations, video clips, brochures and factsheets, and is aimed at three particular audiences; students, parents and school managements. It demonstrates that time invested in physical education is time well spent, clearly from a health perspective but also in term of student academic achievement.The PEAI Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday afternoon with a large attendance.
