The PEAI Dublin Community of Practice will be holding an Athletics Workshop for all interested PE teachers on March 25th 2009.
 
The workshop will take place in Moyle Park College, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, from 19.30 - 21.30. (Directions below)
 
This workshop will be given by John Shields from Athletics Ireland. The following topics will be dealt with on the night.
 
"Introduction to Athletics in the Post-Primary School".
 
1. Introduction
2. Running Events - Sprints, Hurdles, Middle Distance
3. Jumps
4. Throws
5. Conclusion
 
 
Refreshments will be available on the night. Please let your PE colleagues know about this event

Directions to Moyle Park College
 
 
It is in the centre of Clondalkin Village, opposite Tesco Shopping Centre.
 
From North side of the city...
 
1. Take M50 southbound, exit after tollbridge for the N4.
2. Take the 1st exit from the N4 for Liffey Valley Shopping Centre/Clondalkin
3. Go down the hill, turn left at the roundabout at the bottom of the hill
4. You are now on the Fonthill Road, continue straight on this road through 2 roundabouts, 2 crossroads, then 3 more roundabouts.
5. Continue straight through a mini roundabout, go on for 1km you will see a crossroads with traffic lights.
6. Go left at these lights, follow road down 300m, Moyle Park College is on the left, Tesco is opposite on the right.
7. Sports hall is on the right as you enter the school grounds.
 
 
From South side of the city...
 
1. Take M50 southbound, exit at Red Cow Roundabout for the N7 Naas Road
2. Continue for 2km on the N7 until you get to large crossroads with traffic lights. (Newland's Cross, Bewleys Hotel)
3. Turn right at these lights onto the Fonthill Road,
4. Continue straight through the first set of lights.
5. Go right at the second set of lights.  
6. Follow the road down 300m, Moyle Park College is on the left, Tesco is opposite on the right.
7. Sports hall is on the right as you enter the school grounds.
