Video Analysis - May 2009
Physical Education Association of Ireland (Cork) and Apple Computers present ‘Video Analysis in Sport and Physical Education’ A presentation which outlines the vastly ranging practical application of video analysis, primarily in the sporting context of rugby, but also with reference to its uses in other sports and in a PE context. Presenter: Rhys Long (British and Irish Lions) Rhys Long was appointed as Head of Performance Analysis for the British and Irish Lions Rugby Union for the upcoming tour of South Africa. He holds the same role for the Welsh Rugby Union since August 2007. The former London Wasps' Technical Analyst is part of a three-man analysis team which support not only the Wales National Team but the entire elite performance structure in Wales, from national age grade sides to Sevens and elite referees.While at Wasps, Rhys was part of the management team that took the side to the Heineken Cup final win over Leicester Tigers in May 2007.
