Minister Micheal Martin launches PEAI 'PE Advocacy Pack' entitles 'Move to Learn, Love to Move' at successful conference

The PEAI Conference and Annual General Meeting was held on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October 2007 and hosted by University College Cork.  A large attendance was present with pe teachers, undergraduates, and third level represented.


The conference programme comprised a number of items including the launch of the PEAI advocacy resource, a practical workshop dealing with special education needs in physical education, an experiential adventure education workshop focused on communication, an introduction to korfball a unique mixed gender invasion game and also insights into how a number of schools presented physical education and school sport in their individual school contexts. The keynote address on Friday night looked at Whole School Evaluation and the physical education inspection process.  The PEAI Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday morning with a large attendance.
